VLC for Android

VideoLAN's multi-talented VLC media player for Android has been updated on the Google Play Store, leaves beta. Following version 1.0 this release fixes ARMv8 processors, Android 5.0 crashes and minor improvements. There are also additional features come as well, such as a new interface, hardware acceleration and more.

The all in one video player, VLC has been silently used in desktops for years. It's a must-have for Windows, Linux, and Mac PC users that are looking for a player that just works with about any media format as well as discs, devices, and network streaming protocols.

VLC has proven it's weight in gold on desktops, and now it comes to Android. If you want something that's fine and plays more file types than any other from your mobile, you know then you're here. Like it's desktop cousin, VLC for Android plays pretty much everything you can throw at it.

Here is the change log of all that's new within VLC for Android version 1.0:
- Fixes ARMv8 processors, Android 5.0 crashes and minor improvements.
- Hardware acceleration is now enabled by default on 4.3+ and has better subtitles support. Software decoding has been accelerated too.
- The 0.9.x series is major release with hardware decoding and a new interface available in dark or white colors. It integrates DVD iso and menu support, an equalizer, playlist management, Wide screens support and updated SD cards detection.
